March 13, 20251 yr Community Expert So 342G in lost+found. But, lots of data from other shares. You can take a look at lost+found if you want. Typically, it couldn't figure out what folder a file belongs in and/or what name a file/folder had. Linux 'file' command can help figure out what kind of data a file might contain, so you can try to open it in an appropriate application to see what it is. Often not worth the trouble. Assign spare to disk9 slot and start the array to begin rebuild. Are there any backups? Parity is not a substitute.
March 13, 20251 yr Author Before the failure, the important stuff was copied to "the cloud". I may see if I can figure out some of the lost+found but I'll leave it up to my friend to decide if its worth keeping. Once the rebuild is done then next step will be to get it up to date(7.0.1). Hopefully the rebuild is successful. Thanks for all you help.
