Subject: "Starting mcelog daemon" and "/var/tmp/go: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error" on boot

Featured Replies

"Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with my UNRAID server during the boot process. I'm getting the following error messages:

Starting mcelog daemon: /usr/sbin/mcelog --daemon
/etc/rc.d/rc.local: line 160: /var/tmp/go: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

Problem Description:

My UNRAID server is not booting correctly.
I'm seeing an error related to the mcelog daemon starting.
The crucial error points to a problem with the executable file "/var/tmp/go" on line 160 of "/etc/rc.d/rc.local".
The "cannot execute binary file: Exec format error" message suggests a file format incompatibility or file corruption.

What I've Tried:

(Here, please describe any troubleshooting steps you've already taken, such as restarts, disk checks, etc.)

My Configuration:

   unRAID Server OS version: 6.12.14

Questions:

What could be causing this error?
How can I resolve the "cannot execute binary file" error for "/var/tmp/go"?
Is the mcelog error related to the executable file error?
What diagnostic steps can I take to pinpoint the cause of the problem?
Has anybody encountered a similar problem, and how was it solved?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you."

The go file is corrupt, replace it with one from the stock Unraid zip, but note that if that one is corrupt, there may be others.

Write exactly what file it is. What I should replace and what . I'm not an advanced user

If you shutdown your server, on another system edit /config/go in any text editor and change it so that it only says

#!/bin/bash
# Start the Management Utility
/usr/local/sbin/emhttp

I have already understood and corrected thanks
