One of two parity discs not detectable after power failure

Featured Replies

My electricity supplier has changed the electricity meter and my Unraid server has been switched off unplanned due to the power failure.

When I restarted it, there was a red cross next to the first of my two parity disks. “Spinning up the hard disk was not possible. But I could still see the hard disk.

I then started the array and did a parity check, which resulted in a “0” error.

I then rebooted the server again and then the one parity disk was completely gone and it is no longer visible in the gui.

Can anyone give me advice on how to recognize or even revive this hard disk?

I have ordered a new hard disk to be on the safe side...

Sounds as if the drive might be dead :(

You are likely to get more informed feedback if you attach your system's diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread.
It is always a good idea to do this to allow us to see the current state of your system and so we can see logs.

Swap cables with a different disk, and see if it comes back, if not, it could have failed.
