June 29, 20251 yr This is from coonnect my unraid webpage - When I select management and login I get this:From Connect I tried to create a USB revcovery but it fails when generating? What to do next? All applications is running/dockers /shares etc.Afraid to reboot? Please advice, Thanks
June 29, 20251 yr Community Expert Reboot to see if it comes back, it could be a bad flash drive, or it can just have dropped, if it comes back up with a reboot, try using a different USB port.
June 29, 20251 yr Author Ok SSH into server and after running:dmesg | grep -i sdaI can see the USB is faulty:[507936.087098] FAT-fs (sda1): Directory bread(block 30623) failed[507936.087100] FAT-fs (sda1): Directory bread(block 30624) failed[507936.087102] FAT-fs (sda1): Directory bread(block 30625) failed[507936.087104] FAT-fs (sda1): Directory bread(block 30626) failed......The bacup Download works now (didnt last night) so I have a backup I can restore to a new USB.I do use the recommended Samsung USB drives but I guess everything breaks over time :-)

June 29, 20251 yr Community Expert I would keep it for now, but if the same thing happens on the different port, then replace it.

I initially thought of an issue with my motherboard.Obviously after a while it just died when I was writing on it (during some changes of shares configuration) and crashed my server.I replaced it with a SanDisk Cruzer Blade and now everything is ok.On 6/29/2025 at 11:09 AM, casperse said:So created a new Unrad installation and copied all the config folder to the new stick, but it just hangsI had also the same issue, what I did is made a zip backup of my old USB key and restored it on the new USB key with the unraid usb tool creator. July 4, 20251 yr Community Expert That look more like a flash drive issue, but you can try with a stock install, just to make sure it's not a config problem, which I doubt.
