UrBackup Oopsies...

Featured Replies

Very new to Unraid. I didn't realize until it was too late that UrBackup defaulted to my cache and wasn't even looking at my array. Oops, my cache filled up and crashed the container. Mover moved some of the files off, but no matter which way I try it, "Move Now" doesn't seem like it does anything, even when I set it to "Override" etc. Nothing will move.

Two things I am looking for assitance:

  1. How to get the darn files moved. "Move Now" ain't doing a thing. I might have set it incorrectly, but I've tried several things, and nothing happens.

  2. Is there a way to fix my container? Shows Exited (139), and when attempting to start Error code 403.

Please let me know if any additional information is needed.

All the data on Urbackup was finally transferred over today when I was away.

UrBackup is still erroring out because of what happened, though.

Been running urbackup for a few years with no issues, but I have it set to write directly to the array.

Might want to start fresh and give it an array-only share for the data.

Also this should be in the support thread for the particular container you're using.

So it was working fine... until the drive filled up because I didn't swap and the container crashed. If I remove/readd it, will it recognize the backups already done?

I was suggesting deleting everything and restarting from scratch, doing the initial backups again.

This is the way.

Urbackup is great, but once it gets confused it's really difficult to get it sorted out again. If you can get the container to start, you can try running:

urbackupsrv remove-unknown -u root

from the console which may or may not find the original backups (and will take forever to look depending on your backup sets).

Yeah, I ended up having to remove UrBackup and start over from scratch, as suggested. Now that none of the backups will be touching the cache, it's all working great. Thanks for the help.
