[Support] binhex - Seerr

It was quite simple, I stopped the binhex-overseerr container. Installed binhex-seerr. Once that finished I stopped the container. In the /user/appdata/ folder for binhex-seerr I deleted all the files. I then copied all the files from binhex-overseerr to the binhex-seerr folder. I renamed the overseerr folder to seerr and changed the owner to nobody. I started the new seerr container and it took a min or so (check logs you can see migration happening) and the service is running.

Thanks binhex for all you do!

Edit: Not sure if changing the owner to nobody is the correct way to do it, if someone can confirm please.

Thanks did this without the permissions change and I was migrated in under 3 minutes and everything seems to be working perfectly as others have stated.

If someone can explain with some precision how to get Seerr to work with tailscale I would be extremely grateful. Seerrr is the only app that I really need to share outside my network. I’ve used cloudflare tunnel in the past, but the login requirements are too much hassle. Would REALLY like to have family approved and then always have access.

Greatly appreciated any help. I watched space invaders guide, but the newer LSIO version that supposedly supports tailscale doesn’t work with his guide - so thought I would try this version or ask here.

Hi @binhex do you know how to edit the docker so the "support" and "project page" is correct? :) I change the docker from overseer to Seer :)

just tested it, both are set correctly for me, created a new container from CA, maybe your template is out of date, if it bothers you a lot then add from CA again and reconfigure with the same settings as your existing container.

EDIT - Read your comment again, so you have just modified the overseerr template to point at seerr for the repository i assume, right?, if so then the easiest solution is install from CA, the more tricky solution is hacking the user template which is located on your USB key.

Hey @binhex :)

Would it be possible for you to integrate a migration script from overseerr to seerr, triggered for example by a template flag( MIGRATE_FROM_OVERSEERR=true)?

True, I was able to do migrate my overseer -> seer service as well this way.

For convenience and for non-tech users/unraid beginners, a migration script would be helpful.

Also increases the user user experience as a faster way to get seer up and running

I love Binhex releases, and prioritize using these so, it's with a bit of reservation that I share:

The hotio seerr container works with tailscale, and this one doesn't. Well, I was able to get this one working by building a sidecar docker, but if you want to use the builtin checkbox features for a container, I just did that and it took no time at all and was much simpler.
