May 23, 200818 yr Hi. Can work installation of unRAID on CF 128MB connected to motherboard through reduction CF->IDE ? Thanks for any answer
May 23, 200818 yr to use it as what? as disk part of the array? or use it as USB stick? you most probably cannot use it as USB stick because there will be no identifiable USB serial number for unRAID to work if you talk about the free version - maybe - but it is simple to try yourself
May 23, 200818 yr This can work (as a boot drive). However, if you want to use anything higher then unraid basic, it will require a USB thumbdrive that reveals a GUID. The license is tied to a GUID.

Higher version of unRaid don't work on CF (nothing USB stick) ?
May 25, 200818 yr Where are you from? All versions will work on CF, but you HAVE to have a USB stick, so that the LICENSE will work.

I don't want nothing USB stick connected to PC with unRAID (will be out of PC case). I have free CF 128MB with CF-IDE adapter and can use this with unRAID as boot drive.
May 26, 200818 yr OK you can do this with the FREE edition. You CANNOT do this with the other editions (those you pay).

If I can use more the 3 HDD drive for data or I can use users share with permisions then I must use USB stick, because unRAID Plus REQUIRE USB stick for licence. Hmmm.... What then if USB stick is damaged? I must buy another new licence of unRAID Plus? Thanks for reply
