"Apply Update" to docker container does not appear to install anything, Apply Update still showing. Containers also disappear

Featured Replies

I have a few Docker containers that have pending updates, including Immich, Seerr, Prowlarr, Radarr. When I click Apply Update, it takes a long time to perform and will usually fail to stop the container. After running this process, the Apply Update button is still there.

Additionally, Immich, Seerr and Prowlarr have disappeared from my list of containers. This has happened once before with Immich, so I reinstalled the container, and it still shows Apply Update after installation.

I have attached logs, a screenshot of my containers and a screenshot of the update process.

I don't see any apparent issues in the logs, but the one thing I did notice is you have your "system" share on multiple disks, Cache, disk1, and disk7 I believe. You might want to confirm that your docker.img file is located on your cache pool.

I'm not really sure this is the source for the issue, but you should address it regardless.

Thanks for the tip on that. I ran the mover and now the docker image is on cache, with libvert being on disk 1

Ideally you also want libvirt.img on the cache; if you are running any VMs. It is not very big so move it there as otherwise not having all files for the 'system' share on the 'cache' pool will stop it being allowed to act as an Exclusive share for best performance of your docker sub-system (even if you are not using VMs).

Check your Docker vDisk size - it is likely full and cannot download the proper new images
