Problem with copying data to a share on zfsraid1 (SOLVED)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have one Unraid pool with 28x 6TB HDDs (plus 2 parity HDDs). I have added 4x 14TB HDDs as a zfsraid1 and created a share there using GUI. So basically I have 40.5 TB new space and I want to move a big bunch of data over there.

When I try to do this using Dynamix File Manager, it stops at around 36TB and skips about 4TB of files.

Doing the same from a Windows machine using Teracopy, it also skips a lot of files and doing it with Windows Explorer, it says that total size is 36.8TB, space free is 3.65TB and I need an additional 32.9TB of space.

Only when using Midnight Commander from the shell or Krusader as an app, I can copy the skipped files.

Any idea what is causing this issue?

Please name the shares you are trying to copy from/to.

I am trying to copy a directory from "/mnt/user/Serien/U-Z" (Unraid Pool) to "/mnt/user/Serien2/U-Z" (zfsraid1). No problem with mc, but with the Dynamix File Manager I now got an interesting error message from rsync. There is enough space on the destination zfsraid1 share...

Looks like you did not adjust the min free space setting on that "Serien2" share so it still has the 10% default, i.e. 3.7TB.

That was actually correct. I have changed it now to 10GB and Dynamix File Manager can do the copy.

But I still wonder, why mc was able to do what DFM was not... Anyway, seems to be solved.

Should be the same, maybe you were you using the disk share paths with mc?
