I was wondering whether anyone has any thoughts on this.

I have an UnRAID server in a data centre and recently one disk reported increasing read errors. So, I added a replacement disk to the array and ran preclear. All passed ok, a single pass took 2-3 days.

So, I unassigned the failing disk and assigned the replacement one, starting a data rebuild.

But it seems to be taking much longer than the last time I did this same operation;

I cant believe a 6Tb rebuild is going to take nearly 3 months!

Any thoughts, or just let it run?

Look at syslog/post diagnostics, there likely is something else that's wrong.

Please post the diagnostics.

Nothing obvious suggesting a disk failure. The server is under significant I/O load, so the rebuild appears to be heavily throttled in favor of normal array activity.

Leave the rebuild running, but pause qBittorrent, media imports/scans, backups, and other array-writing workloads for 10–15 minutes and see whether the speed increases. If it doesn't, disable docker and VM services, reboot, let the rebuild run for 5 minutes or so and post new diags.

I will leave those paused for a few hours as the difference was instant and massive...

Thanks - it looks like this was the issue... I will monitor for a few hours and mark as solution :)
