p1lot
Hello, I will be using a Crucial M4 as apps-disk for sab, sick, couch and for the mysql-server. what is the best filesystem to use if i want to use this ssd mounted via snap for the above mentioned purposes, ext4 maybe? I am running unraid 5 rc5. Thanks in advance, p1lot Link to comment
c3
You're on a good track to consider ext4. unRAID currently uses ReiserFS, but I suspect that will change over time. Within unRAID you probably wont find support for btrfs (yet), but long term the features of btrfs may force a change. Link to comment
Tybio
Anyone know if you use ext4 and snap will TRIM work properly? Or is trim just not important for this usecase? Link to comment

Assuming the drive you have can do garbage collection, TRIM is not necessary. The aforementioned Crucial M4 can do garbage collection. Link to comment
