August 30, 201213 yr Author Perform an overnight memtest. Then post SMART reports. im sure this is a stupid question but i have to run a smart scan after the memtest to obtain the results correct? wait...how to i obtain smart results thats not for a specific hard drive?
August 30, 201213 yr You do not have to wait until after memtest. But it is good to test the ram as it could very well be the cause. And he meant post smart reports of all of the drives
August 31, 201213 yr Author You do not have to wait until after memtest. But it is good to test the ram as it could very well be the cause. And he meant post smart reports of all of the drives thanks im running memtest now ill let it go for a solid 24 hours. Do i need to run a smart test on each drive then obtain the results individually or is there a way to run it for all of them at once? Also is a short test sufficient enough or should i run long? sorry for dumb questions..thanks again

August 31, 201213 yr Author http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Troubleshooting#Obtaining_a_SMART_report i got that i know how to obtain the smart results but my question is that is there a way to do them all at once or is it just one for each disk? ive looked through the troubleshooting several times and unless i keep over looking it i dont see that option there and if its not there im sure its not possible, just double checking.. also before i obtain smart results i must run a smart test correct? if so is the short test good enough or should i do a long test for each disk? thanks again
