I am planning to use a UPS unit to protect my server from power outages

I do not want a huge battery life, I am just looking at shutting down the server properly when there is no power anymore

Can I use the smallest PAC unit (“brick” type - 550VA/330W)

Can the add-on handle other brand than APC, shuc as CyberPower? If yes, is there any specific models to chose?

It runs 13 minutes at 165W. Should be enough.

 

And yes, the plugin works for cyberpower just the same.

I can't find the plugin in Package Manager.....

Using the same ups unit you linked to. A few times a year office depot has them on sale. I think I got mine for around $30.

I've seen it at Sam's club for $55, something like that
