January 5, 201313 yr Author I already have one of the m1050 boards with the replaced LSI firmware. Pci x8 and there is an x16 slot, so I guess technically then I just need a SAS to sata fan cable
January 6, 201313 yr Author well, I assume I got off the AOC-SAT2-MV8. Parity still running, but it jumped to 130 MB/sec and from 17 hours left to 97 minutes... I guess I will invest in the SAS to 4 SATA fan cable and swap out the AOC-SAT2-MV8 for the LSI9220-8i (?) I believe it is. This might also be why I thought things were a hair slower than they should be like file transfers stuck in the low 20's vs 30's. I will report and post the completed syslog in the morning. 93 minutes...nice, I wasnt expecting this till tomorrow night.
January 6, 201313 yr Author OK, sync complete. Now do I need. To do a check before replacing a smaller data drive or am I all set at this point?
January 7, 201313 yr OK, sync complete. Now do I need. To do a check before replacing a smaller data drive or am I all set at this point? Run a check.
January 8, 201313 yr Author Ok, in the end after me panicking, sync finished, check finished with no errors so I guess I am Ok after all. May e it was one of my add ons causing issue. Or a fluke, but the good news is I am back online and protected. I guess next order of business is a cable to use with the pci e sas card. Then swap in a new 3tb data drive and rebuild. Thanks for the help. It is always nice to have the reassurance with some of these things. Now just to improve performance...
March 20, 201313 yr I have the same problem with my new seagate 3tb and im getting help here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=26576.0 Just renamed extras, plugin folders and go file. Rebooted and started a paritysync. Just want to know if you successfully re-enable all plugins after the paritycheck or running without any. /Magnus
