fuzzewuzze
So i recently updated from 4.7 to the latest 5.0 RC, got SimpleFeatures and all of my Sab/Sickbeard/Couchpotato plugins up and working again. All is good. Except i cant access the root folder for some of my shares? For example i can access tower/video/Movies and tower/video/TV, i can even access //tower and see all of my shares fine. But when i try to access //tower/video i get a Windows network error that i do not have permission to access \\tower\Video All of this used to work fine before the update so im not sure what got screwed up? The weird thing is its not all shares. I can access the root of my ISO or EBOOK folders fine and navigate through their subfolders without issue... Ive tried renaming the shares, turning them private then public...no luck. Its really screwing up some things, for example i cant rebuild my Sickbeard list off of my existing TV folder because to get to it i have to path through /mnt/Disk2/Video to get to the TV folder, but it just hangs and searches forever when i click on the /mnt/Disk2/Video folder, so i cant ever get to the TV folder for it to parse. dgaschk
Run the New Permissions utility. Quote Link to comment
mark-hc
Experts please help me out. I appreciate your brilliance! Upgraded from 4.7 to 5.0 then 5.0 to 5.04. Unraid has been running perfect for 3 years on 4.7. I am having the exact issue right now that the OP had. Permissions error with the root folder of the share. I have a Share called Docs. I can open Docs and see all of the folders within. I can open a folder in Docs and write a file within that folder. But in the root of the Docs folder, I can cannot create a new folder. Gives me a permissions error. I've ran the permissions utility, twice. Quote Link to comment
mr-hexen
did you let the new permissions util finish before closing the window? Quote Link to comment
