[SOLVED] Upgraded Hard Drive and Shares Disappeared

Featured Replies

I upgraded on of the hard drive on my unRAID from a 1TB to a pre-cleared 3TB... and when I rebooted and reassigned the drive to disk, all my shares disappeared. It is currently doing a Data-Rebuild... but no share are shown other than a mysql share.

Is my system messed up, or is this normal behavior...? Will my shares come back once drive is re-built? It has taken 24 hours and it is only 45% rebuilt. If shares do not come back, is there a process to follow to get everything safley back to the way it was?

I do not want to loose my data...

I am panicking and not sure what is happening... any words are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hernando

You have a LOT of plugins installed - it is always possible one of them is causing a problem.  Ideally you should disable all plugins and reboot to see if the problem still occurs.

I would be tempted to recommend updating to 5.0 final as that would give you the 'safe boot' option that gives an easy way of starting without any active plugins.  If you decide to try that make sure you first backup your USB drive so you can revert to your current state.

Thank you Itimpi...

I have disabled all the Sab, SB, CP, Headphones and Marashcino plugins... However I read that to upgrade, you must make sure the system is running OK.... so I will hold off on that.

Right now I am waiting for the rebuild to finish... but it is killing me not knowing what is going to happen once dome and when I reboot. I have 11 TB of data...

OK panic over... it finished re-building... somehow it picked up speed in rebuilding. I disabled plugins and restarted... all my share are back... I restarted plugins one by one and all is good.

Sorry for the arm flailing and impatience... I hope this helps others.

;D ;D ;D

Big thanks,

Hernando
