Verifying IBM M1015 in unRAID

Featured Replies

I've recently purchased an IBM M1015 online to expand my system.

I want to verify that the card is in iT mode before I attempt to do unnecessary flashing (as I am still new at these things and don't want to end up with a $100+ paper weight). Does anyone know a way that I can check the current mode of this card, and if it is not in iT mode a way to flash it so that I can use it as a JBOD HBA?

I've tried looking through the forums for a solution to this but have been unable to find it.

Thanks in advance for everyones' time.

I try to get a image for you to look at of the boot tonight when I get home.  My M1015s are all flashed to P11 IT mode so you can see what they SHOULD look like ignoring the really OLD date it will display.  I need to get around to updating to the current version but it is low on my to do list.  Also if it aint broke don't fix it.

Highly interested also, thanks Bob!

Sorry guys but wasn't able to get it last night will try again tonight.

The forum I was directed to on a separate forum topic was to this article:

I think Reply 3 talked about the M1015. Are you guys also trying to flash it because I figured out that too and just flashed it to P18 (November 2013 release if I recall).

This site I got the firmware off If you want to save time is:

Edit: Like the form says you want to disable "Boot Support" so that the system will boot properly.

If you need help flashing it you can look at my last post here:
