Ok, with Xen, I can't help much because I'm not touching it much anymore except making sure it "works" from beta to beta. With KVM though, this is very simple to do using either webvirtmgr or virt-manager. I'll be posting more about this soon...
September 8, 201411 yr Author KVM is fine. I moved Airvideo Server already over to Docker; MariaDB (for the central XBMC database) as well as ownCloud will follow. All of these apps were running on Debian and Arch VMs. Win7/Win8 will be migrated from XEN to KVM. The Blu-Ray drive is needed only in those VMs.
