Assuming you mean NAS drives since Seagate isn't color coding their drives other than saying some are "Green" as in low power rather than a Green model which is "Green" like WD.

May 1, 201412 yr Author I have never had a drive fail yet (I'm not a storage intensive user.. Yet) so have no real preference. But what has really pished me off is the hardwiring of some of the WD portable drives I've acquired so that you couldn't upgrade them to USB3.
