I just built an unraid tower tonight.

It was running a preclear on 2 drives and when I came back to check the computer was off.

Why would it turn itself off?

    It's almost definitely a hardware issue.

    Could also be a mains connection not fully seated, or a very short mains outage that tripped up the server but not everything else.  Do you use a UPS?
