My unraid system does not include disk12 automatically

Featured Replies

Hope someone can enlighten me the unusual behaviour.

I have created a share from the very beginning using the default settings, including disks and excluding disks are not fill in.

Everytime i add new disk, it gets automatically included into the share.

However, recently i added disk12 and it had completed the preparation and format of the disk but it is still not used.

I had even restarted the UNRAID system and it is still the same.

Any help ?

What do you mean it's not used?  Do you mean it does not have any data written to it?  If that is the case it depends on what allocation method you used.  The default is high water which will fill disks one at a time till 50% then move to the next disk, once all disks are at 50% disks are written to 70% again one at a time.

All other disks are used by more than 50% or more, but disk12 is always 100% free.

What are the sizes of the disks?  If disk12 is smaller than the others then the relevant highwar<ter value may not have been reached.

After stopping the plex plug-in, stopping the array, stopping SMB services.... and restart and starts array, it seems to solve the problem... the disk12 starts to populate.
