I am just learning about VMs and the one use case I can think of is to run Crashplan off my UnRaid box instead of my Photoediting workstation. 

 

Since Crashplan has a linux version am I correct to assume that Docker is a good choice for me since I do not need to run windows or any non-linux OS?

 

As long as there is a Linux version of what I want to run, then I can use Docker instead of Xen or KVM etc?
