Shares on Mac (Resolved)

Featured Replies

I have used unRAID for years but recently bought a Mac and now have a question. Possibly a simplistic question. Possibly in the wrong forum (sorry).

I can get to unRAID via my browser but can't find my shares on the "Network" although other computers and printers on the network show up fine.

Thanks,

ron

How are you trying to mount your shares, via SMB?

What version of unRAID are you running?

If you click on Finder you can hit Command+K to bring up a Connect to Server dialog box. That also can be found by clicking on Finder, going to the Go menu on the top bar, and then going down to Connect to Server. If you're connecting to your shares via SMB, you'd do smb://tower and it will bring up a log in box requesting your login info, input it and it will bring up a list of your shares/disks and you can choose which to mount.

Depending on the unRAID version you are running, you should also see the server listed in the Finder sidebar (the bar in a folder box with items in a list such as Desktop, All My Files, (Your User Name), Documents, Pictures, etc.) If you click on it from there you can also log onto the server this way and choose which disks/shares to browse. All depends on what version of unRAID you're on and how you're connecting to your shares.

Fill in the Windows workgroup. System Preferences->Network->Advanced->WINS->Workgroup:

I am using unRAID 5.0-rc8a AiO. I don't upgrade because it works for me. I only run Plex.

smb://tower gets me in but only shows me the flash drive. No shares.

http://192.168.2.102 gives an error message "There was a problem connecting to the server"

On my mac OS Mavericks I just type 192.168.1.122 I don't put the http:// in or it won't connect. I would upgrade to 5.05 though. No point using a RC now.
