muon
From the provided link (http://www.iptime.co.kr/~iptime/prd.php?pf=3&page=&pt=129&pd=1), I found this: "165Mbps wired NAT". Quote Link to comment
garycase
That's a very unusual speed ... but whether it's 100 or 165 doesn't really matter -- both are far too slow to achieve the speeds UnRAID is capable of. Just get the Gb router and connect it and you'll be fine. BTW, you never answered the question r.e. what kind of READ speeds are you getting with the network? ... with a 100Mb router, you should see ~ 11MB/s; if it's truly 165Mb that should be ~ 17MB/s; if you happen to have a Gb router (which I think is very unlikely) you should see speeds approaching the sustained data rate of your disks ... possibly as high as > 100MB/s Quote Link to comment

The number "10 MB/s" is just a estimate from mac when copying files to the server. Quote Link to comment
garycase
Copy a file from the server to your Mac and see what it shows as the speed. Quote Link to comment
muon
Copy a file from the server to your Mac and see what it shows as the speed. That is what I have done. It was about 10 MB/s. Quote Link to comment
muon
I just added Gb switch (TP-LINK TL-SG1008D). And now I am getting about 30 MB/s which is about a factor 3 improvement. Quote Link to comment
garycase
Yes, that's about right. Your read speeds should be even better. Quote Link to comment
muon
Yes, that's about right. Your read speeds should be even better. The number is very conservative since the initial estimated time generated by mac is always larger than the actual time. So it would be about 30-40 MB/s. Quote Link to comment
