Command line UNRAID query and control

Featured Replies

I use UNRAID mainly through SSH and an SSFT interface (I really like and recommend cyberduck) and sometimes it would be easier to punch out a terminal command than to fire up the web GUI.

For instance, what command can I give to find out, or command:

Is anyone currently transferring data from the array?

    Is the parity check completed?

    Is the array active?

    Spin down drives.

I'd appreciate having a list of useful one-liners, particularly with the first item above, that might prevent the howls from the basement "Hey, what happened to the server!!?" when I'm tinkering.

Thanks

Dennis

Is anyone currently transferring data from the array?

Isn't this something what Linux command lsof can do?

lsof /dev/md*

For the array drives

and

lsof /mnt/cache

for the cache drive.

Also

mdcmd status

will spit out probably all the info you want and more about spin up and stuff, but it's not user friendly unless used with grep filters. If you are good enough at command line stuff, you could probably alias up a few commands using the output.

Joe L. wrote a console version of unmenu before he wrote what we know and love today. He may have some insight as to the best way to go.
