johnodon
I know that uTorrent has been gaining a lot of negative press lately for adware being added to their installer, but the server edition is not plagued by this. Also, I have tried uTorrent, Transmission and Deluge with the new SickBeard Torrent Edition and uTorrent gives me everything I need (Transmission...no proxy support; Deluge does nto play nicely with this fork of SickBeard). Not sure if OS matters: http://www.utorrent.com/downloads/linux?us John Quote Link to comment
NAS
Its total rubbish full of bugs and unreliable as sin. Dont encourage them use a FOSS client Quote Link to comment
johnodon
Trust me...I would love to use Transmission but there is no proxy support. I would love to use Deluge but it does not like magnets (PB...not sure which). So far uTorrent has been solid for me. Quote Link to comment
NAS
rtorrent with rutorrent front end is another option. Also remember since this is in a docker you could proxy the entire OS essentially giving transmission that feature. Quote Link to comment

I have no problem clicking magnets on firefox or chrome and sending them to my deluge daemon using plugins for each browser. Quote Link to comment

I use the deluge FE (disable 'Classic Mode'). Magnets work great, as does integration with CP. Quote Link to comment
johnodon
The issue is when sending magnets from sickbeard to deluge (via blackhole or direct)...I get a timeout error. I can manually add magnets to deluge just fine. Quote Link to comment
NAS
I would focus on fixing that rather than reverting to a closed source, coded by people known to do questionable things and owned by a company with a DMCA representative. Quote Link to comment
