mikeybunting
Surely it won't take that long, will it? I have been having several issues with my Norco 4224 unRAID server. I suspect most of it to be caused by the Norco case itself (1 entire row of backpanes no longer work) and certain spots/bays in the Norco have often caused drives to drop out for whatever reason. I won't go into what caused the latest problems....but I am doing a parity sync now on my 4TB parity drive (24TB worth of data in the array spread across 18 discs) and it is telling me that it will finish (let me check again......) in 38 days!!!! I'm too afraid to stop the parity syc, because it has been awhile since my last parity check (nearly 30 days)....if I do stop ----- will I lose only the last 30 days worth of data? Many thanks.... Thornwood
Parity check is just a check stoping it to reseat fix or just change something will not loose data. That to me seems to long. Look to see if any disk has errors or something in the log file to identify issues Link to comment
