Error Parsing after upgrading from unRAID 4 to 5.06 and enabling shares

Featured Replies

The following message appears at the top of the web server.  The message appears when I enable user shares.  I just upgrade from unRAID 4 to 5.06.

In addition, I am unable to create shares.

Warning: Error parsing /var/local/emhttp/sec.ini on line 319 in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/template.php on line 101 Warning: Error parsing /var/local/emhttp/shares.ini on line 724 in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/template.php on line 105 Warning: Error parsing /var/local/emhttp/sec_nfs.ini on line 253 in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/template.php on line 106 Warning: Error parsing /var/local/emhttp/sec_afp.ini on line 375 in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/template.php on line 107 Warning: array_key_exists(): The second argument should be either an array or an object in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/template.php(142) : eval()'d code on line 1

What is the significance of the errors?

How do I correct them?

Am I correct to think there is a link between the error and the inability to create shares?

Attach the entire syslog. Zip if needed.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

Clearing the cache did not fix the issues.

The warning remains.

Still not able to create shares.

Your syslog has a lot of lines like:

Dec 29 23:07:03 Tower emhttp: get_config_idx: fopen /boot/config/shares/LisaQB.cfg: No such file or directory - assigning defaults
Dec 29 23:07:03 Tower emhttp: get_config_idx: fopen /boot/config/shares/Mazinger Z Tv Series.cfg: No such file or directory - assigning defaults

Dec 29 23:07:03 Tower emhttp: get_config_idx: fopen /boot/config/shares/Naruto manga.cfg: No such file or directory - assigning defaults

This leads me to believe that you have created a lot of folders or files at the root of one of your cache or array drives.

unRAID automatically considers any top level folder of cache or any array drives as a user share, with default configuration.

I doubt this is what you intended.

Thanks trurl!

You were correct: too many folders/files in top level of disk1.

I fixed the issue by first creating a top level folder "unsorted" on disk1, then moving all of the files and folders from the top level into unsorted.  Then, I followed the procedures for using shares and the process worked successfully.
