  1. Agreed. However, after loading the Global Shares page, the included disks field said "all." Not until I clicked the dropdown, did I see that, in fact, only disk 1 was selected. So, be careful, just because the field loads with "all", do not assume that all the disks are in fact checked. Also notable, I do not remember ever deselecting any drive in the global share settings. Plus, I doubt that I ever would have deselected a drive. Despite this, a drive was unselected. Maybe someone else will solve this in a future thread? Thanks again.
  2. Fixed by including the target disk in the share after including the target disk in global share setting. Discovered that the share did not include the target disk by: Shares> tv (i.e., share name)> Included disks> All When i clicked "all", the drop down did not list the target disk. I.e., the drop down showed "Disk 1" with a checked box, but did not even list the target disk, Disk 2. Fix Stopped the array. Settings> Global Share Settings> Included disks> checked the target disk (i.e., Disk 2). Started the array. Confirmed disk 2 included in share tv by, Shares> tv> included disks> all and saw that Disk2 was now listed and checked. Opened share and can see all the moved files. Possible Cause. I replaced some old drives with new, bigger drives and updated my parity drive in the preceding weeks. I am guessing that I had failed to include the new disks in the global share settings. I worked my way to the solution after reading the following thread: [SOLVED] NEW DISC DOESN’T GET INCLUDED IN SHARES Thank you itimpi. Your suggestion got me to the eventual solution.
  3. From the command line, I used midnight commander (mc) to move files from disk to disk. I have a share named "tv" the drives use xfs I used mc to move the folder "tv" from /mnt/disk1 to /mnt/disk2 When I browse the share "tv" (i.e. \\tower\tv) the share is empty. When I browse the disk (i.e. unraid>main disk2\tv) I can see all the files that I moved. I checked the filesystem on each of my drives while in maintenance mode. This did not fix the problem. How should I get my files on disk2 listed in the share?
  4. Mover is not moving files from cache to array. The cache drive is 506/512 GB used. I recently added dockers for Sonarr and NZBget. The cache is being consumed by downloaded media (i.e., tv shows). tower-diagnostics-20231020-2039.zip
  5. When I browse the mount... Index of /mnt/disk10 0 objects: 0 directories, 0 files (0 B total) I checked my Lost+Found share... There is now 8984 files totalling 886mb of files in the lost+found the lost+fold has folders with names like "1261308477" inside 1261308477 is correctly labeled media Might this mean that the Filesystem Rebuild moved files to lost+found? Does this mean that the content of the emulated drive is empty? Is there a way to get contents from lost+found back to shares without manually sorting 8984 files? Recommended next steps?
  6. Disk 10 in my array is disabled. I followed the instructions in 1.6.1 Unmountable Disk(s). stopped the array restarted in maintenance mode Checked Filesystem status ... completed without error Phase 1 - find and verify superblock... Phase 2 - using internal log - zero log... - scan filesystem freespace and inode maps... - found root inode chunk Phase 3 - for each AG... - scan and clear agi unlinked lists... - process known inodes and perform inode discovery... - agno = 0 - agno = 1 - agno = 2 - agno = 3 - process newly discovered inodes... Phase 4 - check for duplicate blocks... - setting up duplicate extent list... - check for inodes claiming duplicate blocks... - agno = 1 - agno = 0 - agno = 3 - agno = 2 Phase 5 - rebuild AG headers and trees... - reset superblock... Phase 6 - check inode connectivity... - resetting contents of realtime bitmap and summary inodes - traversing filesystem ... - traversal finished ... - moving disconnected inodes to lost+found ... Phase 7 - verify and correct link counts... done Note: red X still beside drive on Main Menu Stopped array. Restarted array (in normal mode. i.e., not maintenance mode) Drive still marked with red x, "device is disabled, contents emulated" tower-diagnostics-20211125-0034.zip
  7. What is the advantage or reason for running AutoMuteUs on an UnRAID server? As opposed to continuing to run on my Win 10 desktop?
  8. UnRAID is reporting an error on the DASHBOARD tab, in the Array section, after I added a Western Digital Blue WDC WD10EZEX-60ZF5A0 1TB. When I click on Disk 4 the following is the last SMART test result. (note the 2 messages: "Completed without error" and 187 Reported Uncorrect" I ran a SMART extended test. The test results are attached. In the test results, "SMART overall-health self-assessment test result: PASSED" WDC_WD10EZEX-60ZF5A0_WD-WMC1S7436100-20200417-2322.txt Why does the array page say "👎error" but the smart extended test says "PASSED"? Could the error have been one time, when the HDD was added or precleared? But then why does the "👎 error" persist? When reading about SMART 187 errors, I see a lot of message board chatter, but no technical info. Any suggestions for clearing the error? Or rechecking? 9. How can I check the contents of a HDD before I clear it and add it to the array? I found an old HDD. I am not sure if it is blank or not. Before I clear, I would like to confirm that is empty or that I don't want its contents. I tried to use UNASSIGNED DEVICES but it only offered to allow me to format the drive. (see the attached image) The HDD could have been used in a linux or Windows machine or not at all. Does the fact that Unassigned Devices sees the drive as unformated, suggest that it has never been used? Or only that it is not recognizing the file system (if there is a file system)?
  10. I used the password for unraid user 'loren', not the password for root. I exported 8 shares using SMB. The settings did not need to be changed. Not all of the shares had their SMB Security settings set to Private. I changed all of the SMB Security settings to Private. Same result after changing all to Private. Incorrect. This is a company computer. It is my company. There was no windows account named 'loren'. I created a local windows login 'loren' with the same password as the unraid user 'loren' I tried to open a share and, used the new windows 'loren' and the login represents itself with the message "A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated." I tried to map a network drive for a share and received the following:
  11. From the topic, I tried the following: When I tried to open TOWER in the file explorer. the window shown in credentials1.png opened. After entering my PIN, the message in credentials2.png opened. Then i tried to "use a different account". I used "loren", which is an unraid user. For the password, I used the unraid password. The result was the message shown in credential3.png.
