...Which brings me to another question, any way of ensuring starting in safe mode without plugging unraid to a monitor?...

You can edit syslinux.cfg using a linux compatible editor and move the "menu default" line under the "label" you want to be the default.

But you can't do this when the unraid hang, and you have to reset it physically.  I'm thinking if it has a function key you keep pressed to boot safemode?  That would be a great feature.

You can edit that file by plugging your flash drive into another computer. Do not use any of Windows built-in programs to edit unRAID files. Search google for notepad++

Same thing happens.  I can install Plex successfully, but it fails to start.  Can this be a file permission issue?  Probably in my cache?  Please see attached syslog.

It looks like there is an error with your cache drive, and is mounting the disk as Read Only.

This is why the plugins can't install to your cache drive.

I've restarted several times already.  Apparently, this doesn't correct things concerning the cache drive.  What should I do?

Do you have any data on your cache drive you need to save/keep?

If not, you could just format it and start over with it.

Hello Jevans04,

Thanks for the advice.  I did just that.  It was successfully rebuilt.  I will try reboot tonight.

***Update***

Rebuilding did the trick.  The array started perfectly with plugins installed, and running.

I did notice couchpotato plug-in causing some problems.  I disabled it for now.  Will troubleshoot further.  It may be for another topic already.

Thanks for all the help.
