February 18, 201511 yr Alright, I got this thing installed, and linked my account. Now, how do I see what the daemon is doing? There does not appear to be any webgui. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thank you.
February 19, 201511 yr Author What I mean is, how can you see if it is indexing, synchronizing, etc.? Is there a command line interface? Also, I am seeing this in the log: Another instance of Dropbox (188) is running! It seems to be sending files to my account, which is cool.
March 9, 201511 yr Author Would it be possible to add the docker-cli to the docker image? http://www.dropboxwiki.com/tips-and-tricks/using-the-official-dropbox-command-line-interface-cli If we had command line access like this, we could check our status through the cli. Any ideas why the log shows "Another instance is running" all the time?
March 9, 201511 yr This computer is now linked to Dropbox. Welcome **** *** Shutting down runit daemon (PID 9)... *** Killing all processes... *** Running /etc/rc.local... *** Booting runit daemon... *** Runit started as PID 8 that's all i'm getting so far (as well as a folder full of my dropbox files)
March 9, 201511 yr i had something similar with amule, something to do with phusion runit being a little too eager to restart an app that hasn't actually crashed. i "fixed" it by using supervisor instead. there may be a setting for runit to be less particular, but i don't know.
March 9, 201511 yr Author I switched to Hurricane Hernandez's Dropbox docker image, and it's working great. No error messages. Files are syncing. The only thing that would improve it would be some kind of interface, either command line or GUI, to see what the Dropbox daemon is doing.
March 10, 201511 yr I have had hurricane's dropbox docker running a while and it seems that once it's finished syncing with dropbox it stops, those error messages in the other container were because runit didn't let it stop and kept trying to restart it.
March 10, 201511 yr Is your Dropbox staying linked on restart? I have to go to the dropbox website and allow access to my unraid server every time I restart the dropbox docker. How can I fix this? Also, the plugin version of dropbox will tell you whether it is indexing/syncing/idle, how do you find this out with the docker?

January 7, 201610 yr So, is it normal that dropbox loses connection with my account everytime I restart the docker?
January 7, 201610 yr So, is it normal that dropbox loses connection with my account everytime I restart the docker? Yes it is "normal" for this docker container. Or at least it was. I ended up giving up on this and removing it due to this problem a while ago. I mainly use syncthing for all my file sync stuff anyway.
