No UPS Notifications

Featured Replies

unRAID OS Version: b14, b14a, b14b

Description: No UPS notifications

How to reproduce: Unplug UPS cable and wait for notifications.

Expected results: UPS notifications.

Actual results: No UPS notifications.

Other information: The file apcupsd.notify should be marked as executable.  This is the script that sends ups notifications to unraid.

This is fixed in an internal build already. Will be included in next release. Thank you for reporting!

Appreciate it!  Gotta keep these things documented and it let's everyone else know where things are at.

Thanks again dlandon!

Support for non-APC UPS?  Like the Cyberpower units?  They seem to be identified by other linux distros as "hidups".

Cyberpower units already work fine (at least mine do) out -of-the-box with the current UPS support.  I think the 'apc' part of the name in the daemon is probably historical and it is not limited to APC units.

Oh, cool.  I've not had my unRAID turned off to swap out the UPS yet.  I'll try it later.  Thanks. :)

I do have the server running off an old APC SmartUPS 750, but it sucks ~30W on it's own, and it fizzes and hums, it makes much more noise than the server...the little CyberPower 600VA is a much more sociable.
