Gang,

I have a motherboard and CPU that both support vt-d (it is enabled in the BIOS also), and an Intel Pro 1000 PT quad gig card which (allegedly) also supported direct i/o.  Yet when I attempt to configure ethernet devices in the virtual machine I have created, esxi (6.0) is telling me that directpath i/o is not supported (and clicking the question mark icon gives me a list of reasons why it is not supported, but none of those reasons should apply).

Any tricks to getting directpath i/o working?  Do I need special drivers for the Intel Pro 1000 PT?  It auto-detected when I installed esxi, not sure if I need a special driver in order to make use of directpath i/o or what....

Thanks.
