ikkeenjij36
Hi all just started with unraid, booted up no probs, after that assinged a disk for data and one for cache. Now i need to make an array but dont know how. In the gui i see to many or... devices attached. Must say disks are not formatted or pre cleared but all used in other enviroment. Where do i go from here? First want to try out the free verion before buying a licsence to go to 25 disks. All help needed. Link to comment
lionelhutz
Once you assign the drives you should see a Start button. Press it to start the array. Then, you should see a button to build parity and to format the drive you assigned to disk1. Use those and you will have a working array. Link to comment

lionelhutz
You must have already started it once. On the tools tab use the new config to reset it and try again. Link to comment
trurl
You must have already started the array before, and now you are trying to change it. You can only add or rebuild disks after you have already done the initial assignments. The only other thing you can do is go to Tools - New Config and start over. Do you have any data on any of the drives that you want to keep? If so then you need to give us some more details so we can make some effort to preserve your data. Link to comment
