May 6, 201511 yr I would like to be able to SFTP (using Filezilla) into a Docker from outside of my network (I can open port on my router) and access some of the files in my unRAID box. This would need to have a very strong password protection. I know how I can map unRAID shares/folders into the container, and I know how to map ports as well. Its the password protection and port assignement and sftp server software that I cannot figure out. My unRAID is a basic setup, with no user security or protection. Any idea how this can be achieved? This could be a really cool Docker to have secure external access to your unRAID files. Thanks, Hernando
May 6, 201511 yr Author I have tried Pydio and cloud stuff. but they all seem to be more robust than the basic need I have.

May 6, 201511 yr Author Thank you guys... I have not had the patience to learn anything about VPN... I know my router has a VPN setup, and I gave it about 3 minutes worth of effort before I gave up. SFTP while easier, it also make me quite nervous. I found a few Dockers for it... I would be exposing my irreplaceable files if I don't do it correctly. I will give VPN a serious look.... Thanks again.
May 6, 201511 yr Author Wow... I just called Tech Support for my router manufacturer and the guided me to setup the VPN feature... It is awesome... I am connected. The hard part was providing the connection type and the key. Hard to figure where those went in my Win 7 machine. Very cool. Trurl, thanks for the nudge!
