Testing RC3 - exploring DVR function on unraid; any ready made templates?

Featured Replies

Hi;

I've been using unraid for ages, but only trying the new v6 since yesterday. Testing and checking what I need to setup.

One item which I'm hoping to accomplish in the new config/version, is to be able to use unraid as a dvr for a couple of hdhomerun receivers I have on my lan.

Is there a ready-made vm or docker template which is capable to do this?

Or some clear /usable notes - which don't require fundamental research and time commitment (very little available, unfortunately).

Much appreciate any advice. Thank you.

This entirely depends if you're using cablecard tuners or not and if you have copyonce flagged channels.

Thank you for the prompt reply and moving the question where it is more appropriate.

The hdhomerun tuners are only for OTA content. They are connected to an antenna, at one end, and to the LAN at the other.

They can stream MPEG video. I want to be able to capture some of the content directly on unraid,instead of using the Windows Media Center on Windows 7.
