June 13, 201511 yr I am getting the same thing! I posted this in the RC6 thread below. Well after fighting with my system after updating to RC6 I started over fresh. I am having issues getting my shares working. I had in the past 3 shares named appdata, docker and images all located on my cache drive. I do not want the mover to move them so I had them set to cache only. I cannot seem to create them now since moving from RC4 to RC6.
June 13, 201511 yr Author Yes RC4 worked fine. But I have wiped my system for new setup for rc6. I forgot to say it didn't work on rc5 either. Can you make a new share?
June 13, 201511 yr just created two new shares to check, no problems. Do your logs reveal anything? Are the disks empty or already contain shares?

June 13, 201511 yr I've found when I've done a clean install I haven't had to re-add my shares, they're recreated automatically, albeit I need to set user permissions, split level etc again. Are there any files on your flash disk (look in the subdirectories) that give you any clues?
June 13, 201511 yr I haven't worked with shares myself, and I'm not sure what steps you took, but there are some aspects of working with user shares that have to be done when the array is stopped. One change with -rc6 is that that is now being enforced, it wasn't before. So while you may have gotten away with some user share creation before while the array was started, that's no longer possible.

You may be correct about rc6 changing things as rc4 works just fine. I may be attempting to create them wrong since its been a longtime since I had to do it..
June 13, 201511 yr Hi All, I just started testing UnRAID 6 rc6 on my test system with 3x 500G drive. Array has started. When I try to add shares under Shares menu, it stated that the folder I have try to create has been deleted. Tried other setting like picking just a dedicated drive. Same result. I wonder if there are something I overlooked. I appreciate anyone giving me a few pointers. Are you using any special characters in the share name you are trying to create ?
June 13, 201511 yr Ok I rolled back to rc4 and my shares are back. That's really strange, can't get my head around this one at all. Sorry.
