Sparkly FreshRSS - MySQL Database?

Featured Replies

Hello. I just upgraded to 6 and trying out Containers for the first time. I'm attempting to install @Sparklyballs FreshRSS and I've gotten to the point where the first time setup is asking for MySQL database information.

No clue what this information is! Did I skip a step?

I believe you first have to install a Mysql Docker and get it configured. I recommend the MariaDB docker.Once its configured, you enter the value of host name, the IP number, and possibly port... If you set up w/ a username and password, you enter it here as well.

Not sure if you have to create a database for FreshRSS first, or if it will create it for you.

That makes perfect sense, let me give it a shot.

Got it up and running with MariaDB, thanks!

To be totally honest, I was completely winging the MariaDB part of it.

And yes, you do have to create a db first.

Installed it as well. Installed MariaDB too, but no clue how to configure it before using freshRSS.

Is there not a webgui for that?

And what do i enter in the field of sql configuration in freshRSS setup ? HOST: myip:myport, HTTP username:root (by default?), HTTP password: none, Database: ??.

New to docker stuff, pls excuse me ;)
