September 1, 200916 yr Glad you finally got it worked out and we were able to help. I will echo JoeL's sentiment that HPA on Gigabyte boards is a pain and there should be a way to turn it off from there BIOS settings. Maybe starting a thread on there forums will get something moving?

They will probably respond with, your MB is not intended for server applications. Would be nice if they do seriously consider this problem. It should be a selectable item in the bios. Sure am glad I changed my board to a Intel instead of a new Gigabyte..
