Robert Simandl
I know most people were using the Asus P5B-VM DO mobo to build their UnRaid systems with a few years back. Is there a motherboard that has that same universality with UnRaid system builders nowadays? Thanks! Link to comment

Devilboy3007
I have the same question but all the Official Lime Tech Boards have been discounted by their manufactures So what is Lime Tech going to use next? Link to comment
fireman
There are quite a few unRaid users that have used the Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2 with success. I myself use it and it booted on the first try. I'm really happy with it. See my signature for more details on my build. Link to comment
Joe L.
Just be aware that the Gigabyte BIOS will attempt to put a HPA (host protected area) on one of your hard disks... This will make it look smaller than it actually is to the OS. If it happens to you on your parity drive, unRAID will not allow you to use it, as it will not be bigger than your other drives. Do a search on "Gigabyte and HPA" and you'll find threads describing the headaches. Also here: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_Topical_Index#HPA Joe L. Link to comment
SSD
I have the same question but all the Official Lime Tech Boards have been discounted by their manufactures So what is Lime Tech going to use next? The forums used to be a good method of reaching Tom and getting answers to these types of questions. But there have been no posts from him in going on 6 months. Others are getting responses from Tom by email. So anyone having a question for Tom, I'd suggest sending him an email. Who knows, if more support questions start hitting his inbox, perhaps it will encourage him to support the forums he established for the purpose. Link to comment
