Default syslinux.cfg includes Xen boot options - Xen was removed in beta phase

Featured Replies

unRAID OS Version: 6.1.3

Description: Click on 'Default' syslinux configuration button adds Xen boot options.

How to reproduce: Navigate to Boot device, select Syslinux Configuration and click on 'Default' button.

Expected results: Syslinux configuration without Xen boot options.

Actual results: Default configuration includes Xen boot options.

Other information: Xen was removed in the beta testing phase.

That's a nice catch.

In resume, syslinux.cfg- file should be updated with other components of the system.

Every unRAID 6.0.x and 6.1.x version has the correct content for file syslinux.cfg-, I guess in this case it was never replaced on the flash drive due to manual upgrading.

It would be best to replace the syslinux.cfg~ on auto update to prevent this from happening.  I know the syslinux.cfg doesn't change much, but replacing it would prevent future issues.

Apparently, only these files are updated: "bzimage,bzroot,make_bootable.bat,make_bootable_mac,memtest,*.txt"

I suppose easiest would be to add the file syslinux/syslinux.cfg- to list of files to be copied upon a new installation...
