November 20, 201510 yr Hi - Noob Again ... I tried to create a cache folder by going to Share - Add Share - Named the fella - and then selected Use Cache disk ONLY. But it created the share on my Disk1 instead of my 128GB ssd. I want to create it on my 128GB SSD which is listed under my Cache Devices because that is where i want to put SickBeard and SnB.. Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong.. Pls n thx
November 20, 201510 yr You don't create a "cache" share. You add the SSD to the disk system as a "cache disk", letting unRaid format it and then it will show in your list of disks as the cache disk. Doing this the entire 128GB SSD will be available for use as cache disk. see here for conceptual description. http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_6/Getting_Started#Assigning_Devices_to_the_Array_and_Cache

I am confused.... Sorry i am new to this...

March 25, 201610 yr I am at this point - added a cache drive as stated in this thread. If I have two shares - Movies & TV Shows - do I make those two folders on my cache drive so unraid knows what share to move files to at night?

No. If you want a share to use the cache simply set the Use Cache option to "Yes" in the settings for the share.
