December 15, 201510 yr Author UPDATE: Mobo ,CPU Heatsink,PSU (Went with Corsair RM750) arrived today ... Awaiting CPU ,Hardisks and Memory to come...Apparently USPS was used and they confirmed on tracking that memory was delivered , but I got nothing yet.Anyways once that is resolved and my final parts arrived, ill be testing the system initially with both esxi bare metal and unRAID running as baremetal os. I plan to have unRAID setup for long run , just need esxi for my lab'n atm. Will post some screen shots when remaining parts are here..
January 12, 201610 yr Author Hi guys Ok finally got all my items shipped.. below is snapshots of build and screen showing unraid up and running with "HVM" and "IOMMU" enabled . I eventually added an additional 32G as i required more memory for testing my lab in vmware. So far the machine is running stable and I currently have x1 60G SSD and x1 3TB . I will be purchasing x2 SSD and x2 3TB WD Red in next couple months , but so far very happy with the system. Thanks garycase and bhinkle50 for inputs and recommendations. http://imagebin.ca/v/2TAdiJMsl700 http://imagebin.ca/v/2TAfpksq0KLU http://imagebin.ca/v/2TAfyUtUSzpN http://imagebin.ca/v/2TAg7Eu8vaBJ http://imagebin.ca/v/2TAgFfYd5b2k http://imagebin.ca/v/2TAgU20GzWnG http://imagebin.ca/v/2TAiFvqlNh3f http://imagebin.ca/v/2TAiSjVZlvbL http://imagebin.ca/v/2TAiaXRjKPyC regards

Intel website indicates that the E5-2620 V3 supports up to DDR4 1866. Reason I ask is that I found a bundled package being offered that includes the E5-2620 V3 and DDR4 2133 as well.
January 28, 201610 yr Doesn't hurt anything to buy higher spec RAM ... it will simply run at the speed the CPU supports.
