bb12489
So I've been testing Unraid 6 using the trial key, but all I had at the time was a crappy generic flash drive. I really don't want to keep using this crappy drive once I pay for a license, and I've already picked up a nice Silicon Power drive, so I was wondering if I can somehow move my Unraid install from the current generic flash drive to the newer Silicon Power drive. Then I'm assuming I can obtain a license and apply that license on the new drive? Are they any specific steps I need to take here? From what I've been able to gather, I just copy all the files from the old flash drive to the new flash drive and it it will just work? Link to comment

You will still have to prepare the new flash drive correctly in addition to copying the files. In particular, it must be formatted FAT or FAT32 with a volume name of UNRAID, and you must run make_bootable on it after copying everything over. Link to comment
bb12489
I've got it formatted to FAT32, and it was made bootable, but I definitely forgot to give it a volume name of UNRAID. Thanks! I will give this a try later this afternoon. Link to comment
