December 14, 201510 yr Hi guys I have an OPPO 103 bluray player that is networkable and should see smb shares. It sees UNRAID as DLNA but I don't want to use DLNA. The only thing OPPO can tell me is they use SMB 2.0. Is there some settings I can change in Unraid so it is visible to the bluray player? I checked the share SMB settings and they are all open no restrictions. THanks
December 14, 201510 yr Community Expert unRAID supports SMB2, so that should not be the issue. The commonest problem resolves around server name resolution at the network level, and this can be avoided by using the servers IP address instead of its name.

I think the Opposed player only have the ability to browse samba shares, so no IP input.
December 15, 201510 yr I also have an Oppo player. Mine was being fed by Universal Media Player. The last time I checked, it was working. I will say that while the Oppo players are spectacular bluray devices - their application support is rather finicky to say the least. You might also try Serviio - there is a plugin for that - the trick is finding a media server app that works well with your player. That's why I like Universal Media Server - it has configurable "patches" that allow you to tailor UMS output to your streaming device - I run UMS off a full blown PC, though - I have not had time to tackle getting it to work as a plugin or a docker - not sure if someone else has or not. You know when UMS is configured when it correctly identifies your media player. I ended up building a HTPC to handle mine - so I stopped putzing with the Oppo.
