Is there an issue with Gigabyte Boards and VM Bios settings?

Featured Replies

Its been a long month with my CPU I-5 - MB upgrade Gigabyte - GA-Z97X-Gaming, I have maxed out the ram at 32g etc, its been running really good and just for grins i finally turned on Visualization and VTD in the bios (that's it nothing else) and could not get unraid to boot it would hang multiple times and after a couple hard boots (per telent in and try shutdown or reboot commands) did not work. I turned on the box and turned off those 2 settings and it boots fine and i am currently in parity sysnc mode.

I thought i read somewhere and for the love of god :) cannot find the article that talks about this problem!  Is there a fix?

There have been reports of some Marvel based disk controllers not playing well with virtualisation enabled.  Not sure anyone knows why.

Ok who can recommend a GOOD compatible board for VM's with this cpu - Intel® Core™ i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz and 32g of DDR3 1,600mhz RAM?  I will just switch over the ram -cpu and 2 supermirco controller cards........... got to have at least 3 pci express slots ... something that is proven......
