ashman70
On my second server, I have plugged in an SSD drive, do I make that my cache drive and then use it to create my VM on it? I've never done this before on UnRaid, so just not sure how to set things up. Link to comment

The "Official" "Recommended" method is for you to store your virtual disks on your cache drive. However there are other ways to deal with this. I for instance run a Cache Pool which is in fact just that. A Cache Pool. I mount a third SSD outside the Array using a Plugin called "Unassigned Devices" (https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=38635.0) and Share and Auto Mount it on Array Start. I created my Docker and VM Images to that share and run from there. The guides I have stored for Virtualisation (Docker and VM) are: Docker Guide: http://lime-technology.com/docker-guide/ VM Guide: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_6/VM_Management Link to comment
CHBMB
I do the same as Dan and use a SSD mounted outside of my array with the Unassigned Devices plugin. Link to comment
