CHBMB
You'll need to be a little more patient than that.... I'll take a look when I get home from work this evening. Quote Link to comment
smakovits
one thing I often like to do when troubleshooting something is remove any and all extras, take the vm config to bare bones, use vnc, dont pass any hardware, just the drives, vnc and iso if you are installing. make things as basic as possible and see if it will boot. I find that passing a bunch of things and troubleshooting a complex config is more difficult when trying to pick the one thing that might be the issue. Instead, strip it all out, boot it and see what happens. If it still fails, maybe reboot unraid and create a new simple config. After you get the basic system working, pass your first piece of hardware, go slow and when you crash the car, report what the last change was. this way, you can isolate the actual cause as opposed to picking one potential cause out of 20. CHBMB
Reading around it, it would appear to be a problem with a USB component. I would agree with smakovits.. Look at it as building a house. Get the foundations right, get the machine up and running with VNC and then try adding extra stuff. When you get to the point you want to try adding devices and it doesn't work then at least you know the problem. Also I note you've got 16GB of RAM and are allocating 12GB for Unraid. It's not the cause of your problem at the minute, but only leaving 4GB for Unraid I imagine will cause issues later. Quote Link to comment

lee34234
i tried using vnc as graphic card and it can boot up and i can see the windows install setup. and the log shows: Domain id=1 is tainted: high-privileges Domain id=1 is tainted: host-cpu then i tried to choose my mouse and keyboard but both of them arent working after that i tried to choose my nvidia graphic card but there is no signal on the screen. i tried to change settings, change bios settings, and tried to follow some usb passthrough guides in these few day but it still wont work. so i desided to ask for help. sorry if my wordings are not correct since english arent my fist langauge Quote Link to comment
lee34234
it seems that both gpu and usb have some problem. am i right Quote Link to comment
lee34234
i dident select any usb device but i select my nvidia card the monitor didnt receive signal Quote Link to comment
saarg
If you do not have an onboard graphics, there is little point in trying to pass through your nvidia card. Nvidia cards do not like to be passed through as the initial card. Quote Link to comment
lee34234
I just found out on this posthttps://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=42519.0 how can i solve this issue Quote Link to comment
CHBMB
You may not be able to, I get the distinct impression that gfx card passthrough is not always guaranteed to work... But, if you need help, then don't assume that you're issue is the same as someone elses. For an example of how best to get help from the community, give the community all the troubleshooting info they need. An absolutely brilliant example of how to post KVM info with all the relevant bits is in this post here... Quote Link to comment
smakovits
Do you have any vms that work or is this your only vm? Also, as mentioned about the video card,do you have 2 physical cards or onboard video + the one being passed? Quote Link to comment
lee34234
yes this is the only vm i only have 1physical card ,no on board display Quote Link to comment
saarg
Then you will not be able to pass through your gpu. You need one onboard or another card unraid can grab for the console. This is only valid with nvidia cards. It seems from experience around here that most AMD cards will work when being the only card in the system. Quote Link to comment
lee34234
Is there any alternative for that such as xen? If not if I add a gt210 or a usb to vga adapter will Unraid support? Quote Link to comment
