February 19, 201610 yr Community Expert disk2 has been rebuild, replaced with new drive and after i did parity check.there is a lost and found folder there with 2 empty folders that cant be delete it though. shall i start the array in maintenance mode and do and fsck check on disk2? i run again reiserfsck --check /dev/md2 yes. Note that a rebuild does not clear file system corruption so if you had it before the rebuild it will still be present after the rebuild. It is likely that you will then be told to rerun with --rebuild-tree to fix the problems found.
February 19, 201610 yr Author Comparing bitmaps..vpf-10640: The on-disk and the correct bitmaps differs. Fatal corruptions were found, Semantic pass skipped 5 found corruptions can be fixed only when running with --rebuild-tree you are correct . so i run rebuild again? and then what? rebuild will finish and i will do a parity check again. i have done it already. what will change now when done for second time?

When the rebuild tree finishes then reiserfsck will correct the file system errors and the corruption should be fixed. You may find that there are some filed put into the lost+found folder if their directory information was missing. To access these files you will need to run the new permissions command against that folder. There will be no need to redo the parity sync. The fact that you are running in Maintenance mode (as indicated by the fact you are using the /dev/md? type devices) means that parity is maintained during the whole process.
February 20, 201610 yr Author rebuild finished for one more time 6 more files where placed in lost + found folder that where playable, so i just renamed them with original filename they had. i have runned new permissions on disk 2 and now my media/hd movies reappeared again before start add, replace drives so slowly move to xfs filesystem is it a good practice to run fsck check on all drives for integrity check?
February 21, 201610 yr Author I consider this topic closed since my disk 2 is OK now. Thank you all for the help. Sadly a bigger issue came. My disk 3 red balled. This happened when I stopped the array so I witnessed it. I will open new topic because this time I think I have lost 2tb data. All disks that have issues since I upgrade to 6 version are Samsung. Might be coincidence might not....
