one or two disks are ears but are 1tb....the jumper thing is only for the 2 tb version?

Tomorrow I will have the rest of hardware need it to build my first unraid server using 4. 7 . I have six 1tb western digital and 3 2b Samsung f 4. ( I have done to them the firmware patch).
